Introducing: Dan About Town

Introducing a new series on SundayScene..Dan About Town.

Dan is my friend from New Jersey though I like to pretend he's from New York to make things more exciting. I've known him for a little over five years and we met while he lived in Virginia with his wife. We worked together at GMAC, no, not the insurance company. We immediately clicked and he's been like an older brother to me. I'd also like to point out he's not the annoying kind but actually one you wouldn't mind having around.

He's a very talented individual and what better place for him to have a creative outlet than to post on SS? I remember enlisting him to help me with a project we had to do for work and he created the skit for us. He wrote the whole darn script and it was hilarious! Not only that, he did that in less than a week, maybe even three days? Unfortunately our lawyers edited the script to make sure it was work appropriate so we couldn't say insensitive things like, "hey, you there, with the black lungs!" Our skit was to promote wellness. Go figure.

We have interesting conversations and he can share so many silly stories of his day because although life can be difficult, he always finds the silver lining. We can have a whole conversation on how much we love baguettes, especially freshly baked from Panera..with butter. We love baguettes so much, we want to sleep in one, like a huge warm sleeping bag.
